All About CVLL

Champlain Valley Little League is proudly represented by youth in Shelburne, Charlotte, and Hinesburg. There are currently over 400 kids in the program from Pee Wee T-Ball to Majors baseball and Minis to Majors softball. We also offer a Babe Ruth program for those baseball players that have aged out of Little League. There is so much that goes into running a successful program for these kids, from training sessions for our coaches and umpires, to uniforms, to field prep/maintenance, etc.

CVLL is incredibly fortunate to have so many volunteers who are passionate about the success of our players both on and off the field.

Champlain Valley Little League aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete. A high-quality experience is one in which every athlete develops the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being by championing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty.

Our Athletes:

· Are coached using the principles of Positive Coaching.

· Have fun playing the game.

· Feel like an important part of the team regardless of performance.

· Learn "life lessons" that have value beyond the playing field.

· Learn the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improve as a player.

We recognize that the coach is the one who most directly makes this all possible. It is our goal to provide every coach with tools to be successful as a Positive Coach. We are committed to create a positive culture in which coaches, parents, fans, officials and athletes work together to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes
